With 20 years of experience, senior partner W. Winston Briggs has tried more than 140 jury trials. Mr. Briggs obtained his B.A. Degree from DePauw University in 1984 and graduated from Wake Forest University Law School in 1987. Immediately upon graduation, Mr. Briggs passed the Georgia Bar exam and joined the law firm of Decker & Hallman (the predecessor to Decker, Hallman, Barber & Briggs). Mr. Briggs is currently a member of the Georgia Bar, the Florida Bar and multiple federal courts in Georgia, Florida, and Louisiana.
W. Winston Briggs has successfully tried a wide variety of cases over the years including cases involving auto accidents, trucking accidents, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, wrongful death, medical malpractice, chemical exposure injuries, Reactive Airways Dysfunction Syndrome (RADS), injuries from fires, lung injuries, construction disputes, and a whole host of others. As a result, Mr. Briggs has had to take on every type of expert imaginable.
There is virtually no type of personal injury case Mr. Briggs is not equipped to handle and win. Due to his high rate of trial success, W. Winston Briggs became a partner at Decker & Hallman at age 29. That firm later became known as Decker, Hallman, Barber & Briggs. In July of 2009, Mr. Briggs opened the W. Winston Briggs Law Firm to continue to follow his passion for protecting the rights of people with injuries and death claims.
